A Designer's Dream: FREE REIGN!

The Holiday Table Event at the Wichita Center for the Arts is one of the events that I have been excited for all year. I love my job, the clients, the thrills, perks, challenges, etc...but nothing gets me more excited than the opportunities I get to create something beautiful from scratch; just me and my imagination. The Holiday Table event allows me to do just that. This year's design centered around "Holiday Table Dressings"
This year my inspiration came from Moore Flowers Designer, Kathleen Baker. A couple of bridal shows ago, she made the most gorgeous burlap panels and table linen. I immediately fell in love with the concept and design and knew that I would wanted them to be the focal point of my display at HT. The next task was to come up with color palette. This was not hard....Burlap, whites and cremes, with an accent of turquoise. There were several other contributors that helped in bringing the complete design together, which I am TRULY thankful for! Ashley Owen; owner of Ruffles and Rust, Brandi Winger, Danielle Hoover, Gayla Kaufman, and Erin Hutton. Could not have pulled it off without their time and willingness to help, especially being 9 months pregnant!:)

Show stopping Guest book!

Shabby Chic Guest "Rocks"; a fun alternative to a book. A simple inexpensive project that will be sure to "Awe" wedding guests.

Have your guests sign their names on rocks! This is something you will be able to keep forever in a vase, flower pot for your garden or even a door mat or bath mat for your guest bathroom if you like to D.I.Y.

D.I.Y. Love Monday's!

D.I.Y. Christmas at the Moore's!

My love for decorating has led me to the decision that each year I am going to come up with a theme for our Christmas tree. A friend mentioned that it could get expensive and so I decided that our tree each year is going to be a D.I.Y tree. So using things that are free, that you have already, or easy to make in order to save money, are going to be the key to this new little project for me.  I LOVE the challenge of decorating on a budget but more so the ability to be creative with the things that I have!
