A Designer's Dream: FREE REIGN!

The Holiday Table Event at the Wichita Center for the Arts is one of the events that I have been excited for all year. I love my job, the clients, the thrills, perks, challenges, etc...but nothing gets me more excited than the opportunities I get to create something beautiful from scratch; just me and my imagination. The Holiday Table event allows me to do just that. This year's design centered around "Holiday Table Dressings"
This year my inspiration came from Moore Flowers Designer, Kathleen Baker. A couple of bridal shows ago, she made the most gorgeous burlap panels and table linen. I immediately fell in love with the concept and design and knew that I would wanted them to be the focal point of my display at HT. The next task was to come up with color palette. This was not hard....Burlap, whites and cremes, with an accent of turquoise. There were several other contributors that helped in bringing the complete design together, which I am TRULY thankful for! Ashley Owen; owner of Ruffles and Rust, Brandi Winger, Danielle Hoover, Gayla Kaufman, and Erin Hutton. Could not have pulled it off without their time and willingness to help, especially being 9 months pregnant!:)

Holiday Tables

Events By Ashley is ready for all the holiday smells, colors, and wonderful food! With Holloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas right around the corner it can be hard to figure out how or what to decorate. This year we are honored to be a part of the Holiday Tables event at the Wichita Center for The Arts. This fundraising event for the Center, is one of a kind. There are about 30 different individuals, companies, etc, that are invited to be a part of this event. Each person is to design a themed table. Guests are able to walk through, and get ideas for decorating their own tables at home or for their businesses. We are so excited to share what we have been putting together. Our theme is "Season of Giving" with touches of fall colors and natural surroundings. We have been blessed with so much. With fall and winter being seasons for giving, lets give hope and encouragement to those around us who are in need.

The event is November 2-6, 2011. Come and join us for this special event and get in the mood to decorate for all our favorite holidays!!!
