D.I.Y. Love Monday's!

Monday, Monday! D.I.Y. Love Monday's!

Every week I get excited to share the new project because of all the possibilities that they can be used for. I found this project on the WedShare website and fell in love right away. Today's project is equally unique and special, but might require a little more patience. I think they would work as place card settings, decor for centerpieces, napkin ring, or a little something cute on the plate of each guest, greeting/thank you cards, etc.....

                                          Paper Roses

Things you will need:
Your choice of paper
template for 6 petal flower
pencil
scewer
hole punch
scissors
hot glue gun
bead

Use to template to trace the flower onto the paper. Cut out three flowers. Place a hole punch in the center of each flower. Take the first flower and cut one slit to the center of the flower. Put aside. Take the second flower and cut one of the petals off and set aside. Take the third flower and cut two petals off. (keep the two petals in one piece). Curl the tops of the petals with the scewer. Place a dot of hot glue in the center of the first flower, place second flower on top. Place another dot of hot glue int he center of the second flower and place the smallest, third flower on top. Take the two petals that you cut previously and after placing a dot of hot glue in the center of the third flower set the two petal piece on top. Take the final petal and cut the bottom since it may stand taller. Place a dot of glue in the center of the bloom once again and put the petal on top. I used a bead for the center of the flower, but you can get creative and use whatever you have laying around, etc. I did it in about 7 minutes.
