BURLAP is the new BLACK
We are always looking for fresh, creative ideas for wedding inspiration. I recently attended the Red Barn Sale in Benton, Kansas and was fortunate to meet a very creative artist there; Mindy Betthauser, Owner of The MASH Wife. Her personalized touches and creativity give her designs that one of a kind look. So, in honor of fall and BURLAP becoming the new BLACK, I want to introduce you to this amazing creator.
In her own Words:
"I am a Child of God, proud Army wife, Mother to a little furbaby (Riley Bugsly our Lhasa Apso), fitness fanatic, and a kitchen adventures, outdoors enthusiastic, health lover, a Fibromyalgia patient, craft doer, DIY-er, party planner...ok really organized planner of everything, furniture refurbish-er, hiker, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and my new role very proud Auntie! I love to take pictures, be outdoors, hike,work-out (in fact as I type I am doing leg work-outs) play games, and make things. I never thought I would blog, in fact I first thought blogging was well rediculious until I started reading blogs and started learning, laughing and sharing with others. I am now a HUGE fan of blogs! I have been talking about starting a blog for almost a year now but not being technologically impaired I kept putting it off because I didn't know what I was doing but today I woke up and said "Mindy(that's me!), lets do this!"
Some of her creations:

Please check out her Facebook page for more pictures! She has quite the collection!

As you can see, it was easy for me to fall in love with all of her hand-made merchandise! Mindy wants to make the day of one bride, by giving away a customized, ring bearer pillow.

Enhancing Our Journey With A New Adventure
At Events By Ashley, we absolutely love getting to meet with brides and other potential clients to help ensure that the special days they are hiring us for, go just as smooth as possible to ease the stress for our clients,  and their family and friends. We enjoy the planning process, and the opportunities we have to get to know some pretty amazing people, as well as the great honor we feel, for being chosen to help them create and execute their vision and dream.
Part of the fullfillment of my job as owner, is the ability to create a space for a client that is both inviting and warm, so that my clients and their guests feel comfortable as they celebrate. My LOVE for design and decorating are what really brought me to the world of Event Planning and so to enhance what we have already begun through Events By Ashley, I have decided to launch, Design By Ashley. Along the planning process I am able to assist our clients with referrals and suggestions for decor, but I wanted to offer just a "Decorating, Inspiration" time for clients that do not really need a full service planner.

Each package; just as with our Event Planning packages, will be tailored to the specific needs of our clients. We are willing to help just assist in creating a vision for a space, table, or home, as well as assist with shopping and other specific needs related to the desiging process.  Give us a budget and we can do complete creation and execution of the clients vision. Part of that process would include presenting ideas through inspiration boards that we will present to our clients for final approval. We will decorate for weddings, private parties, corporate events, home decor for the holidays, and many other things.

I am so excited for this new opportunity and look forward to helping create; inviting, warm, and
one-of-a-kind decor for that special season or event!

Make sure you check out some of our design work at this Year's Holiday Table's fundraising event at the Wichita Center for the Arts, November 7-10, 2012.

We are excited to team up with GOTIMETRAINING.com, this week to inspire our brides, clients and EBA fans. The goal is not to be the skinniest, or most fit person out there, but rather, to promote a healthy lifestyle that will make your quality of life much better!
Guest Blog post by Shannon Dykman, Owner of GOTIMETRAINING.com
Every woman dreams of her wedding day and goes through great lengths to have the perfect dress, venue, man and a body to match. I'm sure you just chuckled or mumbled to yourself "perfect body--I'll never have that". Keep reading, this is where we introduce you to a new business called GoTimeTraining.com. Yes, the name has .com added to it but it's not just an Internet based business--they have a physical location in Wichita, too.

GoTimeTraining.com teaches lifestyle transformations to match that perfect day with that perfect someone.  Not only do they transform individuals, they offer couples programs.  Planning your wedding and balancing daily life can be stressful in itself, let alone trying to figure out the best nutrition and workout plan to squeeze into that sexy white dress you bought a few sizes too small in hopes to motivate you to get in shape for that sunny honeymoon beach vacation.  So, there you have it--the secret to the perfect body is visiting with Kalene Smith and Shannon Dykman who own and operate GoTimeTraining.com.  Yes, that is them below--they mean business but they help all walks of life, not the just the fitness junkies like you might first guess from their pictures.  They are all about inspiring others to transform their lifestyles and they both have interesting backgrounds that led them into their current business.

Like we mentioned before, GoTimeTraining.com is unique in the fact that they offer their lifestyle transformations through online and 1-on-1 programs.  Each program is centered around teaching the client(s) about nutrition for their body type, the importance of resistance training, and how much cardio they should be doing.  Whether its weight loss, muscle building/toning, athletic endurance, competition preparation, or you just need some motivation or help with that "food stuff", they will coach you to your goal every step of the way.  No more fad diets, magic pils, secret detoxes, or packaged and overpriced shakes, they will teach you about the lifestyle--and their clients are seeing impressive results!
You can visit their new private personal training studio in North East Wichita near K-96 and Greenwich at 11110 E 26th St N Suite 600 but make sure you contact them first as they operate their business by appointments only.  Their website www.gotimetraining.com also has a wealth of information ranging from tasty recipes to educational videos.  Their moto is "It's go time!" so check them out and be ready for motivation, inspiration, and a wealth of education.  Their lifestyle transformation programs typically last 12-16 weeks with 1-on-1 programs including 2-4 visits per week.  To schedule a consultation or to find out more information about transforming your lifestyle for your perfect wedding day you can send an email to Kalene and Shannon at info@gotimetraining.com.

Make sure you subscribe to their YouTube channel for workout tips, healthy recipes, motivation, and endless support from the GoTime Team of clients.

Go time is offering a free consultation to one winner! Here is how to win!
